Peppermint Patties


Inside of Peppermint Pattie 
With an electronic mixer hand held or Kitchen Aid, mix all the ingredients minus the chocolate and 1 tbsp of butter into a mixing bowl. Before adding the candy canes, crush them into very fine pieces, like you see in the image below. 


Once you have mixed all the ingredients and the texture is close to replicating the image below, add to a zip lock bag and let it freeze for a few hours or even over night. 


After letting it freeze, roll little balls about a quarter of an inch, and then flatten them with the bottom of a cup or with your fingers onto a cookie sheet with wax paper. Make sure to use the powdered sugar for nonsticking purposes. 



Once you are done creating the inside of the pattie, put them in the freezer and let them freeze for a few hours. 


Heat up two cups of water in a pot on medium heat. In a smaller pot add the chocolate chips and 1 tbsp of butter. Gently set the chocolate pot over the water pot, and stir occasionally. 

Set out another cookie sheet with wax paper for the chocolate dipped patties to cool. 

Once the chocolate is completely melted. Use a fork to dip and cover the pattie and set down onto the cookie sheet. Let cool and....


VIOLA!
