My very first high waisted skirt... Turquoise of course!

Pleated high waisted skirt.

I purchased a sheet set, and there was an extra sheet.. so why not make a skirt out of it.  The back was a little more difficult... so I may have to adjust some stitches.  I will post the tutorial soon..... It really is so so simple! And you don't need a pattern.

For now here's the list of things you will need:
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape
  • Sewing Machine... you could hand stitch but it would take a lot longer
  • coinciding thread
  • pin needles
  • An Iron (my material gets wrinkles easily, I need to Iron it AGAIN!)
  • Fabric, a yard or two.. depending on your measurements, jersey material might be easier for your first time, I used my sheet that is a little lighter than a canvas material.
  • Here's how to calculate your measurements

A. Measure around your waist.
B. Measure from your waist to your thigh, I adjusted this when I put on the skirt.
C. Measure around your hips, I believe I actually measure around my bum...

The bow turned out pretty good though!
