Summer is in the air white chocolate lemon cake pops

So I know I make these often but they are just too much fun! And now that Im back in the states and I have a freezer that works, they come out soooo much prettier! Mira, Look!

First you bake a cake, and I chose Lemon, to put me in the Summer spirit.

Once the cake is all ready, crumble it up, add a whole container of frosting or you can make your own frosting, I already had the premade stuff in my cupboard. A great Buttercream recipe:

  • 4 or 5 cups powdered sugar

  • 2 cups of butter or margarine

  • 2 tbsps vanilla

  • Or for a more complex recipe, look at this website http://www.wilton.com/recipe/Buttercream-Icing

  • Once you have mixed them, put the dough like substance into a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for an hour or an hour and a half.
Then spoon out enough to make these little balls, place into a container and once again freeze them for 2 or more hours, it's better when they are really cold for when you dip them in the white chocolate.

I like to use these long kabob sticks but you can use a toothpick or purchase those lollipop sticks from Michael's, because they make for good cake pops as well.

After you're done dipping, you can add sprinkles or do little chocolate drizzles on top
